This team is led by SAU staff, Carrie Williams and Anna Wilkinson. Essential team members include: Ethan Bentle, Micah Hasenburg, Nikki Hildenbrand, Ashlie House, Morris Hutchins, Ali James, Sarah Kipfmiller, Cassandra Opper, Jeremy Shankle, and Sara Soldan.
We will fly out Thursday, March 8th from Detroit Metro Airport, and back on Sunday, March 18th. For those of you who like to check the sky, our flight numbers are Continental 4511 to Newark and 1658 to San Juan. On the way home we fly Continental 1534 to Newark and 4320 to Detroit. Please keep us in your prayers as travel days are long and weather is hardly ever forgiving.
This blog will be the place to visit to keep up with the 12 of us. Each of your students will take a turn writing about the days events and our adventures. Tune in to see how God is working in us and through us.
Interested in how you can be involved?
PRAY for the Puerto Rico 2012 Team. We will be traveling many miles and working long days. Ask the Lord that He would work in the hearts of our team and that He would reveal Himself to us in new ways. PRAY that the camp staff and those who visit would be blessed.
Also, please consider GIVING toward the expenses of the trip and Campamento del Caribe. As a team, we hope to raise $15,000 for this trip and ministry. We’ll be working hard holding local fundraisers to raise money for the trip, but we recognize that our efforts are not always enough. We would love to invite you into this ministry experience as a financial sponsor. All funds raised above the cost of the trip will be given to the camp for their ongoing work in Puerto Rico. If you would like to make a financial contribution, there are three convenient ways to make your tax-deductible gift:
1. Send a check payable to Spring Arbor University (note “Puerto Rico Missions” on the memo line) and mail it to "Student Development St 2, 106 E Main St, Spring Arbor, Michigan 49283
2. Call 877-728-1873 to use your Visa, MasterCard or Discover card. Be sure to mention you would like to make a donation toward the Puerto Rico mission trip.
3. Log onto www.arbor.edu/give, enter the amount of your gift. Select “Designated Gift” from the drop down menu. Type “Puerto Rico Missions” in the box provided. Click “Save” and follow the instructions to complete the process.
More to come!
