Today was quite a relaxing day. Our hotel stay was wonderful! We got to sleep in and eat some delicious food with the vouchers that we got from our flight delays. The morning/afternoon consisted of a lot of euchre and waiting for our flight in the airport—check out of the hotel was at 1 pm
and our flight left at 8:30 pm.
When we finally got settled in to our little corner of the terminal, we noticed a guy with a “We the Kings” sweatshirt and some pretty crazy red hair. Cassandra recognized that he was the lead singer of the band We the Kings!! He didn’t really stop to talk to us, and we didn’t try to talk to or bother him, but it was pretty exciting that we sat in the airport with We the Kings for about 6 hours.
We enjoyed some sushi, Chinese, subs, wraps, and Jamba Juice smoothies for dinner in the airport. It was such a blessing that the vouchers covered all of our meals for the day.
Everything with our flight today went smoothly … it was actually a little bit ahead of schedule! We arrived in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico at about 1 am and got to Campamento del Caribe around 3:30 am. Our checked luggage with our sheets, towels, work shoes, sunscreen, and shower stuff are in San Juan, which is where we were supposed to land 24 hours ago. Hopefully that will be delivered to us soon, but for now, we are all so thankful to finally be here and settled in that we could really care less about our luggage! :)
